The LURRA Story

"LURRA," a whisper from the Basque tongue, evokes the earth's tender embrace, where each cup rises like a poetic ode to the soil's ancient song.

LURRA started with Ederra meeting Kristi, a local pottery visionary—a practice in holding on and letting go.

Together we  saw  pottery as a life metaphor—holding loosely and observing outcomes beyond your control, guiding with a light touch, knowing when to step back and observe, always open to what the elements have to offer. Oftentimes an unexpected outcome surpasses your imagination.

The simplest of materials, combined with human touch—creates a vessel to hold what matters to you.

Natural, approachable, humble, never forced, always authentic.

Hold what matters.

Integrate a LURRA cup into your EMPWR+ daily ritual to infuse every sip with intention, elevating your wellness routine through a mindful connection to earth's elements and human craftsmanship.

Handcrafted Pieces

Earth, fire, humanity.

In each LURRA piece, there are signs of human touch.

Although certain pieces are meant to be similar, no piece is identical. Templates, molds, or machines are not used in the making process, as each handcrafted piece is unique with its own story, its own journey in becoming.

When you hold a LURRA piece, you are the next part of the story. From Kristi's hands to yours—hold what matters.

Materials and Process

All LURRA pieces are hand-formed with earthenware clay—high-fired to reduction in a gas kiln, affecting glaze chemistry and clay integration, creating rich depth of color and unique, organic outcomes.

Clay discarded from any project is reclaimed and reused. The story continues.

LURRA pieces are crafted with patience and care, reflecting the natural rhythm of creation.

This mindful process aligns with Ederra's commitment to sustainability and authenticity, ensuring each cup enhances your wellness rituals with intention and human connection.

Pieces can take approx 6 weeks start to finish.
