Your personal journey has been a powerful one—what inspired you to pursue a career in functional nutrition and fitness?
Western conventional medicine has left me and many others that I know unheard, dissatisfied, and underserved. My education, training and personal health experience through functional medicine has provided individualized non-traditional solutions to healing, empowerment and longevity. My athletic upbringing and desire to stay active compliments functional health and longevity.
You’ve spoken about finding "equilibrium." What does that look like in real, everyday life for your clients?
Clients exemplify their equilibrium state when working with me by being able to balance their diet, exercise, sleep, mental health, and social connection amongst the stressors that life consistently presents. Injury, job transition, moving, pregnancy, etc. my clients learn to prioritize health for longevity, there’s no waiting until the time is right
How do you approach healing when someone is facing multiple issues at once—like gut imbalance, hormone issues, or injury recovery?
When I have a client that comes to me with multiple conditions, we start with the strongest presenting issue that they feel is a priority. I provide them with education and tools that can address multiple at once as they are often interconnected (gut health and hormone balance for example. I also set them up with goals that feel like the lowest hanging fruit to establish motivation early. From there, we work up the chain while chipping away at each problem slowly but confidently.
In a world filled with quick fixes, how do you help people embrace long-term wellness habits?
Quick fixes and instantaneous rewards and satisfaction has required our brains. I work with clients the recognize the patterns in their diet and lifestyle history and in society. I illuminate the failed and cyclic patterns of fad diets, weight loss pills or injections, end-all-be-all supplements and one size fits all nutrition plans. We work on consistent encouragement of long term results for longevity rather than short term tricks that likely backfire sooner than later.
What are your non-negotiables in a daily routine to support longevity and vitality—especially for busy professionals or parents?
Daily routine non-negotiables:
- Quality sleep!
- Exercise, with a rest day or two of course
- Movement beyond designated of exercise and preferably outside
- Balanced and timely eating with micronutrient rich macronutrients.
- Sunlight and nature
- Deep breathing

These non-negotiables can strategically be placed within a busy work schedule and demanding career with habit stacking, cues, and individualized guidance working with me.
